Southwest to Offer Free Starlink Wi-Fi

In what is becoming more and more common, Southwest is rolling out fast and free Wi-Fi across their entire fleet. The first aircraft should be equipped with SpaceX’s Starlink Wi-Fi by this summer with more than 300 in service by the end of 2026. The rest of their planes should have Starlink installed by the end of 2027. Passengers will need to be members of Southwest’s Rapid Rewards loyalty program to receive free Wi-Fi.

Currently Southwest has an all Boeing 737 fleet of 810 aircraft with another 500 737 MAX aircraft on order. They hope to have their entire fleet be the latest version of the 737, the MAX by 2031.
