Capital One Adds Sign Up Bonus Restrictions on Venture Cards

On October 29th, 2025 Capital One announced a new restriction for sign up bonuses on their family of Venture cards, similar to what American Express did a few years ago.

  • Capital One Venture X: You are not eligible for the Venture X bonus if you have earned the Venture X bonus within the last 48 months

  • Capital One Venture: Customers are not eligible for the Venture bonus if they have earned the Venture X bonus or the Venture bonus within the last 48 months

  • VentureOne: Customers are not eligible for the VentureOne bonus if they have earned the Venture X, Venture, or VentureOne bonus within the last 48 months

Wrapping Up

Just like with American Express, Capital One wants you to start with their “entry” level cards and move your way up to their premium card, the Venture X.
